Our Story
Mercia Industrial was founded with a single, clear purpose: to provide UK businesses with industrial partition systems that could be installed quickly, moved when needed, and trusted to perform in demanding environments. Over two decades later, that purpose hasn't changed — but the range of systems we offer, the depth of our technical expertise, and the breadth of our customer base have grown significantly.
We started by supplying and installing PVC curtain partition systems to manufacturers and warehouses in the Midlands. What we found, again and again, was that our customers valued not just the product but the advice that came with it: which system was right for their application, how to specify it to meet their compliance requirements, and how to install it without disrupting their operations. Building that advisory capability alongside our product range has been the foundation of our business ever since.
Today, Mercia Industrial operates across the UK, with installation teams covering England, Wales, and Scotland. Our product range covers four main system types — RapidFireWall, ThermalShield, RapidSlider, and PVC StripDoor — each available in a wide range of specifications to meet the requirements of applications from small engineering workshops to large national distribution centres.
Our Approach
Every Mercia Industrial engagement starts with a site survey. We don't quote from drawings or photographs alone — we visit the site, understand the operational context, assess the building structure, identify any compliance requirements, and design a system that genuinely solves the problem. This takes more time than a quotation by email, but it means our proposals are accurate, achievable, and fit for purpose.
Our installation teams are directly employed — not subcontracted. This gives us direct control over quality, schedule, and the way our teams interact with your operations team during the installation. We plan every installation to avoid production downtime wherever possible, and we communicate clearly throughout the process so there are no surprises.
After installation, we provide comprehensive documentation — installation certificates, material specifications, as-built drawings — and offer ongoing maintenance contracts for customers who want the assurance of a regular professional inspection programme.
What We Stand For
Honesty
We tell customers what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. If a different system would serve you better, we'll say so.
Quality
We source components from proven manufacturers and install them to the standards required for the application — no shortcuts.
Responsiveness
We understand that industrial businesses operate under pressure. We respond quickly, quote accurately, and install on time.
Knowledge
Our team stays current with the regulations, standards, and system developments relevant to the industries we serve.
